Web design
Our web design process is an interactive one. First we listen to our customers and advise them how we believe their best interests will be served, then we produce an initial skeleton of the website. We upload this to a non-public web space where the client can literally watch it grow. We encourage feedback and make changes if required. The results of this collaboration are websites that fulfil their purposes and give their owners a true sense of involvement.
We emphasize function in design without losing sight of the importance of ingenuity and fun. Here at 51ºN we pride ourselves in being able to create great solutions. Our process starts with you, and can be as complete as a full design, (for websites including coding, hosting, and maintenance of your site), all the way down to a logo.
We specialise in HTML and CSS using the latest web standards to ensure cross browser compliance, search engine friendly, usable and accessible websites are of the highest quality.
Our prices are very competitive, and are dependent on the task at hand. Send us your requirements to us and receive a quote today!

www.51degreesnorth.net/joe A totally Flash driven site for this photographer. Here you can see Joe's personal work as a multimedia designer and photographic work.

www.legendspublishing.net Legends Publishing is a small publishing company, producing books for the football nostalgia market. They were fed up with having to pay such a large percentage to other web sites like Amazon. Also once someone had their book located at Amazon they then saw that they'd have to wait over 2 weeks for delivery. Now people can buy the books direct. The money saved by Legends has allowed them to offer additional material on the site, encouraging users to come back for extras.

www.childrensvoice.org.uk This website is colourful, fun and informative. It features interactive games, views and reviews produced by members of the Children's Voice group - a local forum for five to 13-year-olds. This site was built with the active involvement of a number of children from around Hammersmith & Fulham. During the early stages of development it was clear that the children wanted some games to be included. This is where 51ºN's experience really paid off. Working with the children we devised 4 games that would be appropriate for the site.

www.luke-wilson.net Luke Wilson is a UK-based illustrator, artist, and designer.

www.lasainteunion.org.uk La Sainte Union Catholic School, a CMS driven site we trained them to maintain and update.

www.stmarysdropin.org.uk St Marys drop in - Activities for adults and children in NW London.

www.golbornelife.co.uk the website for Golborne forum - we trained them to update this static site themselves

www.w12newera.org.uk part of a project where young people looked at the development of a new health care centre.

www.bubblycrew.org.uk In 2002 this site won the international Childnet award in the not for profit category. As the ChildNet award judges said "Working very closely with the Young Carers, 51ºN have built a very moving website, which tackles a sensitive issue in a positive way." See for yourself how this site has improved since winning this award.
