obelisk
A continuation of my experimental stop motion studies at making a moving painting. Treated still shots, joined together to create an animated picture, with a limited colour pallete. These works are inspired by my abstract animations and informed by the St Ives school of painters and pop art artists like Warhol and Rauschenberg.

Hi there Joe,
Really enjoying your blog and this experiment with animation. I have been fiddling with animation myself but not very successfully yet. You didn’t have a voting button that said “improved by the soundtrack” but if you did I’d tick it!
Do you have any recordings of Weymouth (or Lulworth/Durdle Door) that I could put on my blog (see http://www.walk2012.co.uk)? I’m organising a long distance walk from Weymouth to London and am keen to include sound on the website too as I think it gives an extra dimension to the blog.
Cheers, Mark
