Reinventing the landscape will also be featuring in a show at The Queen of Hungary in Norfolk. Running from Friday 23rd May to Saturday 7th June inclusive, coinciding with the local Aylsham festival and also the Norfolk and Norwich Festival Open Studios.
“Reinventing the landscape” has been selected for inclusion in Slingshot Festival 2014, which takes in Athens, Georgia March 19-22, 2014. Spread over 4 city blocks and dozens of venues. Featuring boundary pushing artworks throughout the urban environment, and tech talks with leading innovators.
The exhibition showcases a wide range of toys and games that have been donated by the community for the project. Interspersed are samples from some of the oral history interviews that have been collected over the last year. Hear people from Dorchester, Weymouth and surrounding areas reminisce about different aspects of our everyday leisure time.
My work features in this exhibition at Walford Mill Crafts aims to broaden attitudes towards repair and challenge our beliefs that a mended item is of less value than a perfect one.
I’m showing work with my metamedia collaborators at Bridport open studio on 25th and 26th August at DIVAcontemporary Studio. Exploring the sonic environment, Land Art & ‘Liveness’ experiments.
