One of my recent uploads to the aporee soundmaps project, garage sounds, can be heard on a recent framework radio broadcast.
Here is a list of my introductions used by Framework Radio show.
My track, A Very Fine Needle, was featured on episode 89 of Futurónica, a broadcast in Rádio Manobras (91.5 MHz in Porto, 18h30) and Rádio Zero.
SOUNDING[S] ‘in the bakery’: mixed from a sonic installation, which took place on 6th April 2013, in a disused bakery in Bridport, Dorset by David Rogers and myself [who perform as metamedia]. The installation saw us investigate the intersections and relationships between architecture, space and sound. A recording of the installation was captured and further treated to create a related but completely different work.
On this episode we hear Richard talk about networking, about the difficulties of making connections last year due to the Olympics and people’s workload. We talk about marketing and branding, of doing cross promotional work and getting your message out there. Touching on the difficulties arts organisations have when they’re all competing for the same money, at the same time as having to network and partner with each other.
Creative Conversations No9 has just gone live, this episode features Richard Keenan from PopUp Dorset. PopUp Dorset staged an exhibition at St George’s Church, Reforne, Portland.
On the show hear about how and why Richard decided to put on this show and become a gallery manager; about setting up a commercial gallery, of building up a mailing list. We also talk about the support he received, about funding and the costs in putting on a show like this.
