Stall Stories PR
This involved us contacting the local media outlets; and of preparing and sending out press releases. We also looked to engage the local communities via tweeter and engaged in a number of new local tweeter friends in the locations that digital:works were in while they were making their films. We also tweeted news and helped digital:works with their blog posts.
We received some very good press in the local Camden New Journal, with a lovely review of digital:works movies from reporter Dan Carrier. We managed to get digital:works on the Robert Elms radio london show (on 26.07.2012), to promote the Stall Stories project and digital:works.
51degreesNorth also helped with the launch of the films, which was held at the Renoir Cinema in Central London. Children from all four schools took part, along with participants in the films. It was a chance for each school to see what the other schools has produced and learn a little about the history of some of London’s oldest street markets. Following the films there was an excellent Q&A with the young film-makers.
